Become a Training Plan Writer

For qualified, insured coaches

We're looking for qualified coaches who understand what it actually takes to prepare for a race and can put that into a plan built around the specific event an athlete is training for.

How It Works

From the athlete's first search to the plan landing in their hands, here's how the whole process fits together.

01

The Athlete Selects Their Race

They start by choosing the race they are training for.

02

The Athlete Shares Their Details

They enter their preferences, goals, and availability. We use that to match them with suitable coaches.

03

The Athlete Picks a Coach

They choose their preferred coach from a shortlist we give them.

04

The Coach Reviews the Request

You see everything about the client, their experience, and their goals, and decide whether to accept or decline writing a plan for them.

05

The Coach Writes and Delivers the Plan

You write the plan, deliver it, and answer any genuine clarification questions in the 7 days that follow.

What Training Plan Writers Actually Do

You will:

  • +Build each plan around one athlete rather than a fixed format, from scratch at first
  • +Review the athlete intake and design the plan around their fitness, goals, and life
  • +Save your own plans as personal templates, so you get quicker as your library grows
  • +Add clear rationale for the important decisions
  • +Answer genuine clarification questions for a short window after delivery

You are not expected to:

  • xHold monthly calls or ongoing check-ins
  • xChat with the athlete beyond the clarification window
  • xAmend the plan for holidays, illness, or life changes after delivery
  • xCoach races or distances outside what you are comfortable with
  • xProvide medical or physiotherapy advice
  • xGuarantee a specific result on race day

Why This Role Exists

Generic plans miss what preparation actually requires

Athletes preparing for a demanding race need a plan built around their fitness, their schedule, and the specific event, not a generic download. That takes real judgment, not a template we hand you, though your own saved plans do become a faster starting point over time.

Race-specific knowledge matters as much as method

The best plans come from coaches who know the race, not just the distance. Alongside your qualifications, we look for real insight into the events your athletes are training for, whether that comes from coaching them or from racing them yourself.

The work has a clear endpoint

You build the plan, it's delivered to the athlete, and there's a short clarification window for genuine questions. After that, there's no obligation to provide ongoing coaching, calls, or future amendments.

What We Put in Front of You

Writing a good plan means making a lot of decisions: what the race actually demands, how to build training around someone's real life, when to push and when to back off, what matters most in the final weeks. Those calls are yours to make. Our job is to give you the depth you need to make them well.

For every athlete you take on, you get:

  • -In-depth analysis of the race they are training for, and what it specifically demands
  • -A continually updated picture of the athlete, so you can see their baseline experience
  • -Where the gaps are between where they are now and what race day will ask of them
  • -The context behind their intake answers, not just the answers themselves
You bring the coaching judgment. We bring the analysis that shows what this race and this athlete actually need, and we keep that picture current as their training progresses.
